The Rocky Horror Picture Show

On Friday, October 29^th the Historic Saenger Theater will be filled with costumed characters ready to lip-sync lines from cult-classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Released in 1975, The Rocky Horror Picture Show has an enormous following, has been considered by many as one of the greatest musical films of all times, and was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 2005.  The quirky film chronicles a stranded couple’s night in a castle full of unusual and unforgettable characters. Mischief and hilarity ensue as the two find themselves in the midst of a bizarre party and a twisted science experiment.
 
Audience participation is highly encouraged throughout the event, including the annual costume contest complete with prizes.  Interactive prop bags will be available for purchase at the theater. “The Saenger’s showing of Rocky Horror has been a Hattiesburg favorite for many years. We are excited to once again be able to present this cult classic,” said Nathan Jennings, Theater Manager.
