African American Military History Booseum

Sixth Street Museum District Invites Families to Annual Booseum Halloween Celebration
Ghosts, goblins, superheroes, princesses and little trick-or-treaters are invited to put on their favorite costumes and join the Sixth Street Museum District for Booseum, a family-friendly Halloween celebration on Friday, October 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the African American Military History Museum.
Booseum will bring together an evening full of costumes, activities, treats and Halloween fun to the historic Sixth Street Museum District, offering families a festive and welcoming way to celebrate the season together.
Children are encouraged to arrive dressed as their favorite characters — whether they are superheroes, princesses, friendly ghosts, favorite storybook characters or something completely original.
Throughout the evening, families can enjoy activities designed especially for young guests, including train rides through the Sixth Street Museum District and plenty of opportunities for Halloween fun.
And no Halloween celebration would be complete without treats!
A special Trick-or-Treat Tour will give children the chance to explore, show off their costumes and fill their treat bags along the way.
“Booseum is an opportunity to welcome families to the Sixth Street Museum District in a fun and engaging way,” said LaTory Gibson, Museum Education and Engagement Coordinator. “We want children and their families to enjoy a great Halloween experience while also becoming more familiar with the museums, history and stories that make this District such a special part of Hattiesburg.”
Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Families are encouraged to grab their costumes and treat bags and get ready for an evening filled with Halloween fun, laughter and memories at the Sixth Street Museum District.
