City of Hattiesburg ''The Celebration of the Lights'' Ribbon Cutting

"The Celebration of the Lights" marks the transformation of downtown Hattiesburg with the unveiling of new street lights. Mitch Brown, president of the Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association, will speak before the ribbon-cutting ceremony and Mayor johnny DuPree will also be present to celebrate the occasion. Carolers will also be there, singing the songs of the hoidays. This event will coincide with Hattiesburg's Historic Holiday Open House and citizens are invited to come Downtown, get some early Christmas shopping done, enjoy Hattiesburg's new downtown lights!
