GULF COAST ATTORNEY AND AUTHOR TO SIGN AT MAIN STREET BOOKS Chet Nicholson, Gulf Coast attorney and author will sign his locally best selling book Dream Room: Tales of the Dixie Mafia at Main Street Books, Saturday, October 31 from 2:00 until 4:00pm. Dream Room is the engrossing tale of the Dixie Mafia as it operated in South Louisiana and Mississippi during the mid to latter part of the twentieth century. The more violent of their number robbed, burgled, extorted and murdered throughout the Old South; while the kinder and gentler wing of the gang preferred gambling, liquor and prostitution. Chet Nicholson represented the paterfamilias of the Gulf Coast branch of the mob, Mike Gulllich, convicted of racketeering and eventually becoming a government witness who would solve the murders of Biloxi Judge Vince Sherry and his wife Margaret. Chet and his wife, Gail, also his law partner practice law on the Mississippi Gulf Coast between New Orleans and Mobile. In addition to signing, the author will present a reading and discussion. Copies of the signed books will be available at Main Street Books during the hours of the signing.
