We invite you to join us for Hope, Roots and Culture: An Evening of Artistic Expression on Friday, June 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Historic Eureka School, 410 East 6th St.
This special Juneteenth program celebrates the stories, traditions, and creative expressions that connect us to our past and inspire our future. Through dance, film, music, and theater, the evening will explore how history, heritage, family, community, creativity, and cultural traditions shape who we are and guide our future.
The program will feature talented students and artists from William Carey University and The University of Southern Mississippi, showcasing a dynamic blend of dance, film, musical, and theatrical expressions.
Hope, Roots and Culture is a collaboration between the Sixth Street Museum District, the William Carey University Winters School of Music, and The University of Southern Mississippi School of Visual and Performing Arts. The event is produced by Katrina Cox and Hillary Scales-Lewis.
We hope you will join us for this inspiring evening of creativity, reflection, and community as we celebrate the roots that ground us, the culture that sustains us, and the hope that carries us forward.
